Navigate to the day on which you made the error, find the mis-tracked task and click the lock icon to its right in order to open it for editing. Now open the project dropdown menu next to that task and select the correct project. When you've finished making adjustments, click the lock icon again to re-finalize.
If you’re sending your time on this project to Basecamp Classic or FreshBooks, re-finalizing will correct your time entry there too.
There’s currently no self-service way to change a Daycast project’s name, but you can delete the project (hover over it in the project dropdown menu then click the trashcan icon that appears to the right of the project name) and create it anew with the name you’d prefer. Projects arriving via integrations must be changed at the source (e.g. in FreshBooks or Basecamp Classic)—the integrated tool is the system of record for those.
Any task time you’ve logged to the original project will remain associated with that name. If this doesn’t suit your purposes, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with A) the project you’d like to rename and B) the project’s new name exactly as you’d like it to appear in your Daycast. We’ll take care of it.
